Parent Information

Parents play a crucial role in their child's education. As an active partner, you can help foster your child's success by providing support and guidance throughout the process.

Career Pathways

Career Pathways outcomes are taught throughout students' programming at L.Y. Cairns School. These outcomes are introduced in Grade 7 and worked toward until the end of Grade 12. With reinforcement in both academic and vocational classes students are provided with necessary tools, resources, and skillsets to help them achieve success.

Our goal is to help students become confident, capable, independent, and successful individuals who are ready to take on challenges in the future.

Work Experience

Students will complete a minimum of four Work Experience Placements prior to graduation. Participation is mandatory during the fall and spring semesters of Grade 11 and Grade 12, although any student over the age of 15 is eligible to participate.

These placements provide invaluable opportunities for students to apply the skills they have acquired in school, and are essential for development and success.
